Its York.

Not the air compressor brand if that is what comes into your mind for the first thing when you hear the word York. It is actually a beautiful place in U.K. =) You could practically step on golds when you are in York but you wont be pleased when you stepped on them. Ha ha...its actually goose droppings. Those goose are so carefree till they just eat anywhere they want and shit everywhere they like.

Anyway, the following is for your viewing pleasure. ;)

I can easily find such signboard when I was in York but I hardly find any in Malaysia tourist spot. The only reason that I can think of why is because the vandalism rate in Malaysia. More education and conscience needed to be instilled in the heart of the "rakyat" for a cleaner and better Malaysia eh.

River Ouse. The water looks so clean and huge. Ha ha ha Malaysian's river are just so teh tarik.

Hot chicks rowing. =) It is Saturday and they are training hard.

Clifford's Tower. Remnants of past castle I suppose. Need to pay though if you wish to go inside. Being the kiam siap me, I would just take photos from the outside la.

When you are in York, such buildings are common sight. I am not sure if it is very old or the British architecture design it in such a way. It is pleasant though.

Over here, there isn't shopping mall like what we have in Malaysia. No Megamall, no Pavillion, no One Utama. Theirs are shopping streets. Not sure of the rationale behind it but I believe they prefer the sun and this may preserve more energy in terms of air conditioning and artificial lighting.

The market. Ha ha neither it is morning market nor night market. But it is similar to what we has in Malaysia. Snacks, drinks, flowers, dresses, hats. The difference is it is cleaner.

Tried the Kangaroo burger. It tastes ... well ... quite good. Ha ha...sorry to the Australian. =P

Saw this band march while hanging around the market. Not sure why they were there in the first place but I suppose I am lucky to come across the band march.

And how could I let this wonderful chance to slip away. CAMWHORE time!!!! Ahahahahaks....yea baby.

Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate. Its the shortest street in York as they claims. Not sure how short it is.

I think this is the Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate street. See, it is short isn't it. Less than 20 steps.

The best part in York must be this. The York Minster. From far away, I could listen to the bells chime soothing my mind. Ahhh...those grand churches that I only been seeing it in the television.

I can't possibly explain it in words of how I felt about the church. Perhaps, majestic might be the ideal words. Oh well, hope you guys feel it a little too when you are browsing this blog. A must-visit-place if you got the chance to be in the York.

One of the York Minster's tower.

"Yo, I am here, It's York Minster. He he he..."

Budding daisy at the Dean's Park. It just next to the York Minster. Plenty of it in that garden.

Camwhored when I was in the York Minster. Sad thing that I cant explore the York Minster as entry fee are needed. I don't have a DSLR or compact camera, so never I thought of going in at all.

The York Minster view from the City's Wall.

Sahaja self-shot. Ha ha ha ha...

The Treasurer's House. This reminds me of my high school life. Almost all of the post I hold in the societies, clubs or board are treasury related. Even when it is within the buddy group, I am once responsible for keeping the group's money. And now, I am doing quantity surveying. It is just soooo money business for me. Ha ha ha...hope in the future, the money I have is enough until I can share it with the less fortunate.

My coursemates. (L-R) MC Yap, Wee Lee, Jia Yi, and Seng Hiap.

Had this Danish Pastry. Was hungry even after I had my sandwiches. Ha ha taste nice for the first three bites but it got too sweet after that. =/

The pub next to the River Ouse. Ha ha plenty of chicks and hunks were drinking that day even though it is only 4.30pm!!! Is alcohol really cheaper than the water here? Ha ha ha...

No more Diao la. Upgrade la Ah Beng.

Ka ka ka ka...accidentally came to this website which I think many of us especially the guys will take an interest in it. Make a brief tour to The Online Slang Dictionary. And you will learn or might improve your...., well you know what I mean after you see it.

Anyway Asian like to think them are very good when it come to profanities in English. But the truth is, what I can always hear is direct translation from our own mothertounge of foul words. So sien and yet they think is cool. Really really zhar dou.

Now I suggest all of you English/American-wanna-be, learn those words. You Alabama black snake(s). Ka ka ka ka ka ka...and those who want to curse but don't wish to be understood by other people, you are also adviced to learn a few or more from there. Please no more FxCK FxCK FxCK jor. Also no more mother mother mother la.

We are generously educated, so act like one even when it comes to vulgarism.

Truly life is all about learning. I am still learning.....profanities.

Common sense eh?!

A picture speaks a thousand words.

Yea yea, we heard this sentence over and over. From the newspaper, the books or maybe your friend using it when they slap you with a stack of illicit photos of you smooching his/her beloved partner. Tsk tsk tsk...

As much as it can, this sentence holds a very high idiomatic expression in one's daily life. But when a little common sense kicks in, you will find the sentence is way out of line.

Now allow me to explain why I said so.

If a picture does speaks a thousand words, then what about a 90 minutes movie of 120 frames per second?

Let us do a simple mathematics calculation here.

A picture = 1000 words

A movie of 90 minutes
= 90 mins x 60 secs x 120 fps x 1000 wpf

= 648000000 words

That is 648 millions of words, in case my readers having a little trouble to count the zeroes. Did the casts say that much in a movie? I doubt that.

Yea people, this is what will happen when common sense contradicts with the world of literature. Like Mrs. Ramani once said, "Common sense is no longer common sense nowadays".

p.s. - got this while I read a forumer's sig. Found it funny though. ^^

Bedtime Story.

Dear little ones,

Would you like to hear a great adventure of the four great men? Spare me some of your precious time.

Not so long time ago, there were four brave souls who set out for a journey full with obstacles. They brazen through the off charted paths, hiked towards the sky and streamed down the rough water.

Unlike many of the great stories of those great man who goes for a conquest, possessed great wisdom, far sighted and some with the strength of a Hercules. This four young men do not have any particular strong traits. The only way to best describe them is the Chubby Three and Skinny One. But the Creator is not that cruel after all. Among of those four, Skinny One has the greater wisdom than the rest of them and Chubby Seng who can assimilate with nature as he is the infamous Malau Seng.

His wisdom puts two of the Chubby Three worship him highly.

Malau Seng showing off his skill.

The journey started off with a bump. They came upon a quiet and deserted village which they learnt it should be occupied by a guardian. A guardian that guards the entrance of the forest. As chill goes down the spine, they left the place hastily and leaving a sign behind to tell the world they had been there. But what awaits them in that thick and mystical forest are unbeknown dangers. They walked, they climbed, they moved deeper and deeper to only found they were not on the right track. Some how they missed a crossing and chosen the wrong turn. Leading them nowhere but only to more difficult uphills, their spirit never wither even the exhaustion taking a toll out of their limbs. Even when the light no longer penetrate the dense canopy. Even when they could no longer hear the water streaming the river. They gives each other a look at their eyes, telling among themselves that they are lost.

Sun and Yeu. At the back, me. =.="

"We have been in here for more than an hour, yet we haven't come to any crossing." said Chubby Seng who had led the pack from the beginning.

"I don't think we are lost. We are just travelling the road not taken." Skinny Yeu told the rest that they are not lost.

Chubby Sun adds in, "We have came so far to turn back. Let us see what is up ahead."

"Look, there are markings on the trees. I suppose someone been here before us." signify Chubby Aun.

And so they continued and came to a cliff. Beautiful cliff with a waterfall. Their initial plan was to reach the lower part of the waterfall but faith and persistent leads them to a higher ground. After spending a brief moment at the wonderful scenic to rejuvenate the lost energy, they make their moves again. Only this time they never plan to put their feet on the same path they came. To add more colours into their adventure book, they followed the stream and heads for home. They encounter a good number of strong currents, rocky crossing and a beasty sea monster.

Great view behind. Sun, Yeu and Seng.

Marvelous, Peace and Strength.

Resting.

Meditating.

Sea monster a.k.a turtle!! a.k.a frog. (>.<)

Five years of companionship, back-to-back look outs and a strengthen bond of friendship. They are now back to where they made their vows to journey together. Hearts filled with contentment, this four brave souls head back to their cruel world and starts to live a normal life only to tell their adventure.

Whole day run.

Made a silly mistake on last Saturday. Purchased movie tickets but did not check the details after that. Huge shock to everyone. Ha ha...but followed up with laughter of my silliness. Managed to change it in the nick of time before the desired movie starts. Yea, lucky Yip Seng was there confidently asked me to jump the line and inquire the ticket tenderer. Otherwise, PANIC. The line is so damn long. Mid Valley mah what to do. Hmm...guess that fella do that always. Anyway thanks to him if not there will be lost cost of total RM 55. No photo taken at those moment. Ha ha...was busy catching up or rather listen to Kam Lai's rant on her workplace.

Had great fun at night on the same day as well. Attended some contemporary dance show in KLpac. Though I had no idea what are they dancing neither the show's meaning, I learnt that it is for charity. So have to support abit by showing my presence there. Ha ha...tickets are free thanks to Peay. Should attend more such shows but the tix are so pricy. My wallet nowadays rasa so 'sejuk'. Sob sob...Took photos with Kelvin 'Mimi' Kuan, Wai Yip, Suan and of course Peay. Upload when I get it.

Wonder how Seng's side did on that night. Hmm...should be very fun.
