hello

Testing...Testing...

Wooooooooh....Alas, back here in 2016.

Forgotten this 'somewhere only I know' place. The effect modern slavery system - W.O.R.K

Sighs~ you just practically have no time for other things. Perhaps it just me.

Looking back at the memoirs, I started this at 2008 and stopped blogging in 2011. What a bump!

Anyway, revisited all of my old post. Some triggers my memories, some are forgotten but most of them are funny to me. Really glad that I did some blog back then otherwise I wouldnt have remember a single thing in between except those life-changing event. Regretted why I did not continue this after 2011.

Up till now, I feel that I am talking to myself when I blog. Felt that way when I started and still feel the same now. Weird and awkward but at the same time relaxing as well. I wonders....

Manchester

Paid a visit to Manchester United's home ground last week. Was there on a museum and tour but unfortunately, I wasn't that keen on football so I didn't know how to appreciate this trip. Ha ha...but too much time was spent at the stadium till a point I would say time is wasted. Blame the certificate printing machine. I wonder why people goes frenzy about it till they couldn't hear the announcement requesting the SHU students to get back to the bus.

Manchester United, side entrance. Couldn't get to the main because of some repair and maintenance work is going on there.

Champions for 19 times. Sorry for blurry image. I am just using a mid range Nokia phone to snap photos sahaja.

Thanks to Mike for this photo. =)

In the changing room, where the players supposed to be at before the match. Only their replicate jerseys were there.

Thanks to Wee Lee for this photo. =)

"I should be looking good when I get down to the field.". Ha ha...I bet those players really think so especially Beckham. He still is looking very good nowadays. Undeniable.

The battlefield. The pitch is uproot to level up the sand. Its off season anyway. That is why it is not so green when I went there.

The field is unexpectedly smaller than I thought because every time when I watch football matches in the video box, I find that the players do really runs a lot. I wonder if my eyes are playing trick on me. Should get it check and get a new pair of spectacles soon.

Where the home team should sit.

Visitors were seen swarming around this machine for some self made souvenir. Literally it is self made but actually the machine is the one do all the job by compressing the 1 penny coin into a guitar-pick-look-a-like with the choice of design on it. You only get to enjoy turning the wheel like a 5 years old kid. Ha ha...but I was there too to accompany my '5 years old' friends.

Anyhow, manage to step into the city with a rush schedule. Ha ha...there wasn't much time left for us to tour around the Manchester city and shop. But the chicks are definitely hotter when it is in town. Woooo hoooo~

York - the 2nd part of it.

Oppsie how could I missed out the National Railway Museum during my visit to York?! Not on purpose, was waiting for my friends to post the photos up. Ha ha sometimes I do need their help to snap a few or more photos of me. Ha ha...

You could see a numbers of locomotive from the early days until quite recent. Mind you when I say quite recent is not like post year 2000 but perhaps until the 90's.

This golden bell is placed at the front of one of the locomotive. Nice bell isn't it?

This crest should mean something which I am not aware of. Ha ha not much of leisure time left for us to read and understand their historical piece.

Thanks Otaku for the photo above. =)

Yea I did pushed the locomotive for few...ermmm...micrometer perhaps? Ha ha...how I wanna be as strong as Superman.

Its York.

Not the air compressor brand if that is what comes into your mind for the first thing when you hear the word York. It is actually a beautiful place in U.K. =) You could practically step on golds when you are in York but you wont be pleased when you stepped on them. Ha ha...its actually goose droppings. Those goose are so carefree till they just eat anywhere they want and shit everywhere they like.

Anyway, the following is for your viewing pleasure. ;)

I can easily find such signboard when I was in York but I hardly find any in Malaysia tourist spot. The only reason that I can think of why is because the vandalism rate in Malaysia. More education and conscience needed to be instilled in the heart of the "rakyat" for a cleaner and better Malaysia eh.

River Ouse. The water looks so clean and huge. Ha ha ha Malaysian's river are just so teh tarik.

Hot chicks rowing. =) It is Saturday and they are training hard.

Clifford's Tower. Remnants of past castle I suppose. Need to pay though if you wish to go inside. Being the kiam siap me, I would just take photos from the outside la.

When you are in York, such buildings are common sight. I am not sure if it is very old or the British architecture design it in such a way. It is pleasant though.

Over here, there isn't shopping mall like what we have in Malaysia. No Megamall, no Pavillion, no One Utama. Theirs are shopping streets. Not sure of the rationale behind it but I believe they prefer the sun and this may preserve more energy in terms of air conditioning and artificial lighting.

The market. Ha ha neither it is morning market nor night market. But it is similar to what we has in Malaysia. Snacks, drinks, flowers, dresses, hats. The difference is it is cleaner.

Tried the Kangaroo burger. It tastes ... well ... quite good. Ha ha...sorry to the Australian. =P

Saw this band march while hanging around the market. Not sure why they were there in the first place but I suppose I am lucky to come across the band march.

And how could I let this wonderful chance to slip away. CAMWHORE time!!!! Ahahahahaks....yea baby.

Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate. Its the shortest street in York as they claims. Not sure how short it is.

I think this is the Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate street. See, it is short isn't it. Less than 20 steps.

The best part in York must be this. The York Minster. From far away, I could listen to the bells chime soothing my mind. Ahhh...those grand churches that I only been seeing it in the television.

I can't possibly explain it in words of how I felt about the church. Perhaps, majestic might be the ideal words. Oh well, hope you guys feel it a little too when you are browsing this blog. A must-visit-place if you got the chance to be in the York.

One of the York Minster's tower.

"Yo, I am here, It's York Minster. He he he..."

Budding daisy at the Dean's Park. It just next to the York Minster. Plenty of it in that garden.

Camwhored when I was in the York Minster. Sad thing that I cant explore the York Minster as entry fee are needed. I don't have a DSLR or compact camera, so never I thought of going in at all.

The York Minster view from the City's Wall.

Sahaja self-shot. Ha ha ha ha...

The Treasurer's House. This reminds me of my high school life. Almost all of the post I hold in the societies, clubs or board are treasury related. Even when it is within the buddy group, I am once responsible for keeping the group's money. And now, I am doing quantity surveying. It is just soooo money business for me. Ha ha ha...hope in the future, the money I have is enough until I can share it with the less fortunate.

My coursemates. (L-R) MC Yap, Wee Lee, Jia Yi, and Seng Hiap.

Had this Danish Pastry. Was hungry even after I had my sandwiches. Ha ha taste nice for the first three bites but it got too sweet after that. =/

The pub next to the River Ouse. Ha ha plenty of chicks and hunks were drinking that day even though it is only 4.30pm!!! Is alcohol really cheaper than the water here? Ha ha ha...

Too little time for too many to do.

Ho ho ho ho uni started for about a week. Need a little more time to understand the lecturers' slang. Some speak fast and some with heavy accent. Gotta learn a lot here from them and the Sheffield people. Not their slang or accent but proper English commands. Ha ha...I am probably more comfortable with Manglish when I am back to Malaysia.

Anyway just a glimpse of my university life for you readers.

Me and my gay mate attending the first day orientation. Was waiting for the briefing to start, nothing else better to do other than camwhoring. ;)

As you all seen it at my Facebook profile. Mr Joon Aun or as printed, Mr JA. What a coincidence since all the friends that I met along the way after my high school know me by the name OJA or simply .... JA. He he he....

Serbu~!!! The 'hungry ghosts' are attacking the free food provided by the University during the Welcome Event for the Tarcians in Sheffield. Not all of them is here though, only Built Environment students for the day. Other schools are using different facilities/block to attend their lectures and seminars. So those hot chicks are not with us. ='(

This is what the Uni provided us. The vegetarian kebab is nicest of them all in my opinion. But all free food is good food to me. Ha ha ha its just my cheapskate 101 manual.

Window cleaners in action even when it is raining outside.

First week of seminar and we are told to do a simple presentation on 'My Dream Trip to Malaysia' for Mr David Jones. He teaches us Integrated Project. Fun module I supposed since we got to do some field trip to study the building.

The view you can get before you goes in for any lesson. Ha ha pretty isn't it? But I guess if you have been around for years in the city, you practically won't feel any special of it.

On one fine day or rather funny day with the weather, saw this double rainbow across the sky. Not something you can always see anywhere. Ha ha my first rainbow in U.K. and its double surprise!!! Life is really full of colours eh.

On a closer look, this building's logo is some how similar to the rainbow. Ha ha ha...what a coincidence. Should have buy one of those lottery and I might be an instant millionaire. ;)
