Common sense eh?!

A picture speaks a thousand words.

Yea yea, we heard this sentence over and over. From the newspaper, the books or maybe your friend using it when they slap you with a stack of illicit photos of you smooching his/her beloved partner. Tsk tsk tsk...

As much as it can, this sentence holds a very high idiomatic expression in one's daily life. But when a little common sense kicks in, you will find the sentence is way out of line.

Now allow me to explain why I said so.

If a picture does speaks a thousand words, then what about a 90 minutes movie of 120 frames per second?

Let us do a simple mathematics calculation here.

A picture = 1000 words

A movie of 90 minutes
= 90 mins x 60 secs x 120 fps x 1000 wpf

= 648000000 words

That is 648 millions of words, in case my readers having a little trouble to count the zeroes. Did the casts say that much in a movie? I doubt that.

Yea people, this is what will happen when common sense contradicts with the world of literature. Like Mrs. Ramani once said, "Common sense is no longer common sense nowadays".

p.s. - got this while I read a forumer's sig. Found it funny though. ^^

Bedtime Story.

Dear little ones,

Would you like to hear a great adventure of the four great men? Spare me some of your precious time.

Not so long time ago, there were four brave souls who set out for a journey full with obstacles. They brazen through the off charted paths, hiked towards the sky and streamed down the rough water.

Unlike many of the great stories of those great man who goes for a conquest, possessed great wisdom, far sighted and some with the strength of a Hercules. This four young men do not have any particular strong traits. The only way to best describe them is the Chubby Three and Skinny One. But the Creator is not that cruel after all. Among of those four, Skinny One has the greater wisdom than the rest of them and Chubby Seng who can assimilate with nature as he is the infamous Malau Seng.

His wisdom puts two of the Chubby Three worship him highly.

Malau Seng showing off his skill.

The journey started off with a bump. They came upon a quiet and deserted village which they learnt it should be occupied by a guardian. A guardian that guards the entrance of the forest. As chill goes down the spine, they left the place hastily and leaving a sign behind to tell the world they had been there. But what awaits them in that thick and mystical forest are unbeknown dangers. They walked, they climbed, they moved deeper and deeper to only found they were not on the right track. Some how they missed a crossing and chosen the wrong turn. Leading them nowhere but only to more difficult uphills, their spirit never wither even the exhaustion taking a toll out of their limbs. Even when the light no longer penetrate the dense canopy. Even when they could no longer hear the water streaming the river. They gives each other a look at their eyes, telling among themselves that they are lost.

Sun and Yeu. At the back, me. =.="

"We have been in here for more than an hour, yet we haven't come to any crossing." said Chubby Seng who had led the pack from the beginning.

"I don't think we are lost. We are just travelling the road not taken." Skinny Yeu told the rest that they are not lost.

Chubby Sun adds in, "We have came so far to turn back. Let us see what is up ahead."

"Look, there are markings on the trees. I suppose someone been here before us." signify Chubby Aun.

And so they continued and came to a cliff. Beautiful cliff with a waterfall. Their initial plan was to reach the lower part of the waterfall but faith and persistent leads them to a higher ground. After spending a brief moment at the wonderful scenic to rejuvenate the lost energy, they make their moves again. Only this time they never plan to put their feet on the same path they came. To add more colours into their adventure book, they followed the stream and heads for home. They encounter a good number of strong currents, rocky crossing and a beasty sea monster.

Great view behind. Sun, Yeu and Seng.

Marvelous, Peace and Strength.

Resting.

Meditating.

Sea monster a.k.a turtle!! a.k.a frog. (>.<)

Five years of companionship, back-to-back look outs and a strengthen bond of friendship. They are now back to where they made their vows to journey together. Hearts filled with contentment, this four brave souls head back to their cruel world and starts to live a normal life only to tell their adventure.

Short post

Internship ended 2 weeks ago and now only I blog something about it. Memang kanasai punya attitude. Ha ha...Anyway nothing much to say about it la except boredom from the same routine everyday. Consider myself lucky for the chances to get my hands on things that related to my profession and not being a despatch boy or photostater. And of course, some other things that I learnt through observance and self awakening. LOL that sounds like lebih-lebih.

Enough with the boring internship. Celebrated Chung Seng's birthday last week. Hope the surprise that we planned does really gives him a surprise eh. Ke ke ke...sorry guys for so many changes to the original plan and no time to brief you all on the last minutes plan till some of you doubted that it is not working at all. The idea struck on my tweji brain while I was on my way to fetch Suan Lin and Valerie and thats how late it comes. Ha ha...see even while I am driving I still thinking about it. Anyway I believe those who hid in his room sure did frighten him, right? Photos of that night should be available soon. ^^

In the past one month.

Ho ho ho....went to watch Song Yeu's performance in SGM Galaxy Chamber Orchestra Wind Quintet in Concert 09 - Dawn of Hopes with Suan. Free of charge of course since we know some insider. Ke ke ke...million thanks to Song Yeu for inviting us. Had a great time enjoying the performance.

Song Yeu with his coolest instrument according to the Lady Emcee.

The songs they played are all nice to our ears. Some of them I have heard it before and some I didn't. But to my surprise is that they played some of the Studio Ghibli's pieces. Ha ha really reminds me of those animation and made me feel like want to watch them for another time.

Both of them were not prepared for the camera. Ka ka ka...

Too bad there are no photo taking or any kind of recording allowed during when they are playing the songs. The lady emcee said it will distract them. Otherwise me and Suan will record it and show how different Song Yeu is when he is playing his clarinet. Man giler.

Me join in with my tahan berak look.

That is something almost about a month ago news. As of lately, working is boring as usual la. No high salary/allowance to motivate me mah. Ha ha....but lucky that I am getting used to it. Lesser sweets taken during the working hour to prevent me from dozing off. And trying to get rid the senior-trainee-superior sort of feeling to ease my psychological fear. Trying to find ways to be more effective and productive. How can I make myself better in this line of profession. Hmmm...

Us after the performance. Great show Prof.

Other than that, I am trying to make my weekends spent better instead of just going out for cybercafe. And by that I don't mean I will stop gaming.. Ha ha...it is more like an attempt to make myself look forward to something during those boring work days. And who knows one day maybe like Sakuragi Hanamichi told Coach Ansai in the few last chapter of Slam Dunk that he found something he belongs to will happen to me. Ha ha...

Mine is Initial C.

Whoa, so long I did not update my blog. So long till I do not know where to start. Felt so sorry for it.

Anyway Chinese New Year this year was exceptionally interesting because I get to drive the uphill and downhill all the way. Yea if the usual me in a usual CNY I would be sleeping at the back during the journey but since I got my hands on the steering and my foot on the pedals, I can't doze. That is the highlight and another one is I still have not unpack my angpows yet. Have you?

Just when the CNY ended for its 15 days long festive mood, I started my internship in a consultancy firm somewhere in the Cheras Business Centre. A programme required by my college to do so for their second year diploma student. It has been two weeks since I first join in. There isn't much to say about it now except I am surprised by the culture and as well the firm itself. Really cannot judge a book by its cover. Sorry for no pictures taken because I am bombarded with work on the second day itself and myself kept asking for it. Ha ha...and I am pretty sure many of you know my n6510i is not able to perform such task. All I can say is that I am quite a lone ranger since I got my own cubicle unlike those in the middle sitting among the crowd without the partition. Plus my back is facing them most of them time.

Guess that is all for now. And something for my friends who once in awhile drop by here.

A new discovery of deep sea fish.

What does a pack of instant noodle tells?

Thanks Seng and Dy. Thanks for the visit and also the encouragement.

Lately was busy with my examination and Chinese New Year preparation. So what do I missed while I getting my hands busy with those? Jhing Sun's party, badminton games with Yuen Han and what else? I do not know perhaps someone can tell me.

Something popped up in my mind while I was making myself midnight snack the other day. I were initially burning the midnight oil on the eleventh hour like the usual. I went to cook myself instant noodle, you see. While waiting for the water to boil, I thought to myself, why do I have to put the noodle first then only the seasoning? Was it because of the instruction given? Or it has become a norm among us as a general knowledge since we saw our seniors do so?

Curiosity rose to its peak and I tried the other way round. The outcome? No difference. The instant noodle tasted just like an instant noodle should taste. Though the taste is the same but the progress is different. This may seems nothing much but to me it gives an insight that I will lesser contradict myself when I should come to a situation where I need to take different steps to achieve the similar outcome. And who knows the outcome may turn out to be a big bang in a good way.

Should you be the minority or majority, its all up to yourself. But being a minority among the majority surely attracts the queer eyes.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone.

It got me.

Tonight somehow I feel indifferent. Indifferent in the way that I question myself. Are there dreams too big for one man to chase? When Thomas E. and Alexander G. Bell first put their mind into inventing bulb and telephone, do they actually build castle in the air? So what has made them so steadfast to their belief that their plan will work? And that is even after so many failures they had encountered.

No, do not get it wrong. I am not trying to invent something out of nothing. I am nowhere capable of doing so. I am just wondering if my dream is too big for someone like me to achieve it. And no I am not going to spell it out of what is my dream. I am still hesitating about this.

Every now and then, I always ask myself what I am going after in my life. Honestly, I could not find an appropriate answer to that. My mind keeps fickle among the choices I gave myself. It is nothing firm and solid at all. Like those movies in the cinema, keep changing for a new one after three or four weeks on screen.

Surely that has to be put a stop on it. Otherwise I will keep on deviates from my rightful track. Life is getting meaningless if it goes on like this and in the end I will be useless. =)

Tonight was not the first night for cracking my head on this. I had been waking up thinking about it and same before I go to bed. This is so unlike me. The feeling is so vivid and yet so diffident.

Anyway the sky is the limit. And I wish to see it myself.

The figure goes up by one. It is 2009.

It is already 2009. What does it has to offer me? Or what I have in my mind to paint this year into a more colourful one? There is definitely some, I suppose and hope. Song Yeu asked me few times on my new year resolution. I could not answer him on the spot as I didn't put any thoughts in it. Honestly I don't do such things in the past. Maybe I am lack of direction due to my habit of happy-go-lucky. Somehow after witnessed so many things last year, I guess I should have do more preparation for myself in years to come. So here it goes,

  1. To have more passion in everything I am doing or involve,
  2. To learn and equip myself with more new skills.

That should be it. I guess when one puts all his or her heart into something, the outcome should be wonderful. And that is what I am looking for this year. My passion towards everything.

Last year was painted blue. Hopefully this year will be more vibrant.
