D1 - Mixed feelings

Hello peeps, here I am, blogging from Sheffield, U.K. =)

Had a really tiring transit from Manchester Airport to my hostel. Those roads was winding and the sun is burning when the light hits you. It is especially dizzy when you are curious and try to look into every place the bus pass by.

Since I had a terrible headache after consuming alcoholic drinks in the place, I decided to catch some forty winks but the bus condition is even lousier than my house's Kelisa. Could you imagine a normal bus that you could see everywhere on the road in Malaysia but with about 50 seats in it? It just too damn packed la. The bloody bus's air conditioning is another failure. It wasn't working at all to my definition. Lucky that I sat behind the driver and only his windows can be opened so I get some fresh air occasionally. Wonder how those people sitting behind can tahan it. Cilaka betul.

That is just a bad opening for my adventure in Sheffield. Ha ha...people always said good things doesn't come alone. I think this same goes to the bad things as well.

I will be staying alone for about a month before those Briton seniors completely move out for their summer holidays. So basically right now, I am living with a group of unknown. Ha ha but my best guess is these unknowns are boys with low discipline on cleanliness and hygiene. The kitchen is in a mess.

Anyway, went for a walk and had my dinner in McD. Foreigners close their shop as early as 6pm. This is so unlike Asian who closes at 8 or 9pm. For the first time, I feel intimidated when trying to order fast food. Ha ha...such things never happens when you are in your home country and you know best of the menu like the back of your hand.

I feel intimidated because the knowledge that I have is isn't enough. I just don't know what the menu says or means.
I feel scared because I practically a foreigner in a foreign country. No one speaks the language that I do.
I feel excited for a small chance to experience oversea study. Even if it a short time frame.
I feel indebted to those who support me financially and morally.
I feel poor because the our money is so small compared to them.
I feel small because the world is large.
And I do feel lonely when the culture here is a stranger to me.

Such is a chance to see whats in me.
Such is an opportunity to do what I can do for myself for the better or the bad.
Such is the test to brings the values in me.

A growth it must. =)

So is this homesick? Or it is growth? Ha ha you tell me.

Did a Mass Messaging yesterday evening. Sent to all my contact list. Little unexpected message in one's mundane day could lift up one's mood? I wonder. But it did put smiles and chuckles to my face. Those replies were just amusing. Ha ha...I just loves my fweeeeens.

Anyway the message was something like this.

"Ho ho ho greetings everyone. Do you know what day is today? Its TUESDAY. Hahaha saja nak kirim salam sayang I pada kawan kawan I saja. Have a nice day. =)".

Simple message but great responses I would say. Ha ha...lets check them out.

LOL. Majority feels that I am too free. Indeed I am. On holiday mah. Ha ha...but oh well its quite fun to do this once in awhile. Let your friends know that you are still there. Working is important but lets not forget to play hard, friends. Old man says "No play only work makes Jack a dull boy".

Boredom

Holiday is boring. At least it is when you are waiting for something to be happened in the future. Yeap. That is what I am now. Waiting for my summer programme to start in June. Something neither far nor near to the present date. However the time is killing me.

Having not much luck with part time job, I practically starts my day thinking how am I going to make it more lively than yesterday. Well, I guess I shall make good use of all the resources around me to fill up my days ahead. Otherwise, I will just rot at home.

Time to put my ever frivolous ideas into something plausible. Hope there will be a solution to every questions I had in my mind for them. Ke ke ke ke....

Random 01

Ha ha ha...I really had to say that my house is full of life. Just when I am sitting here at the computer desk doing my assignments, on and off I will see some creature visit the garden. Cats like to sneak into the lawn and do their droppings. Civet cat and fruit bats visit at night for the ever abundance mango tree. Rats to scavenge with whats left by the civet cat on the ground. But squirrel hardly comes by nowadays. Ha ha... cant I have more cute and adorable animal to pay a visit?

Oh well no photos taken. Not that I am 24/7 with camera stand-by. One thing that I don't understand why some people can do it. Its like they are the paparazzi for some magazine. The only difference is their main coverage is solely on their life and their face. Ha ha ha no offense for photo taking lover and those so self - obsessed. *I don't categorize myself into that category since majority of my photos in my FB is taken by third party - my friends.*

Anyway, it seems after over 10 years, my dad is planting papaya tree again. Not his first attempt though after moving here for so long. But the last time when a papaya tree he planted that bears fruits was when we were staying at the old house.

Note : am listening to 因为爱情 by Eason Chan and Faye Wong. She is still that good after such a long hiatus. Too bad her concert didn't went this well.

Craziness.

In the mid of transferring bulk of documents from hardcopy to softcopy, was drawn into a 'battle' with my collegemates (Shin Yin, Rita and Ah Teck). Full of craps and craziness. I wonder if it is because of the stress that we are getting in. Well not to miss out a good chance to blow some water, I participated. Got too tired after an hour of turbulence. Stopped and refreshed myself. Anyway the documents are like never ending. Five of us keep typing and typing. And again I wonder, are we learning to do measurement or are we practicing our typing skill? Anyway at times I don't feel like I am studying QS at all. Period.

Ha ha I think they (Shin Yin, Ah Teck and Phinn Tan) are coming to bombard my wall while I am blogging this post. But I guess they gonna stop soon. Everyone is tired and its past midnight.

Today was a little bit special. Made golden fried rice. It went well - fuhhhhh. My first attempt and of course my mum was beside me instructing what to do. Sadly no photos is taken, therefore I can't share it here. Anyway I never imagined it is this easy. Gonna try it again when I have the chance. By my own of course.

I think I should list back out my 2010's resolution and see how terrible I had fare.

1. Go to bed before 12am!!
Remark - [ 3/365 ] failed. the night is still young, babe!!

2. To go for morning run/jog!!
Remark - [2/365] failed. its boring. no joke.

3. Never skip breakfast!!! failed. overslept too much.

4. Reduce meat intake but consume more green/fruits!! succeeded. and its still on going. becoming habits.

5. To train myself to visit the toilet in the morning (for the Big B)!! XD failed. this is tougher than i thought.

6. Starts and adopt the habit of planning my financial!!
Remark - [ ] failed. but i keep my expenditure under control 8 out of 10 times ratio.

7. To reach and stay at 3.50 CGPA in my Adv!!
Remark - [ ] failed. only manage to get 3.25 so far. expected to drop to 3.00+.

8. To finish at least a novel in a year!!
Remark - [ ] succeeded. finished one by mid of 2010.

Ha ha... I don't know what kind of resolutions are all these. But heck, that is what I wanna do and gonna do and aim to do it. Bless me. ;)

Woah, am on the Facebook while doing this update. Had a glance over on Jyh Gau's nick he used in FB and triggered my ever frivolous mind wandering what if I use the similar nick to his? What would it sounds like? Aun Aun Ooi? Man, this sounds like putting the baby to bed or feeding them with those shitty-like porridge. *no offense to all the babies and their highly nutritious food as well as Jyh Gau*

Mum mum oh~ ngam. Wtf!!! What a cute name I have. Love it. =)

Talking about names and nicks remind me of how my nickname O.J.A. to begin with. Ahhh memories. Sweet one. Definitely. Never would have thought OJA will becomes the nickname that I use the most in my daily life. Simply because it is easy to remember and sounds unique to some. Or rather weird for a Chinese boy with a Thai name. Love to see those faces when first hear OJA. As well as trick them to believe that I am a Thailand-er. Ha ha ha... stupid imagination comes knocking my mind again. What if OJA becomes household name in 20 years later? What a level that would be. Awesome!!!

Little update on myself. Had a blood donation. My fourth time. Like many does, I do hate needles especially big one but what can I do. The charitable side of me insisted me to being charitable.

Alrighty, I suppose it is late to continue anymore. Should relax myself and take a good bath before I ends my day with a good good sleep. That is what matter most for a healthy complexion and facial. GOOD SLEEP.

Note to self -Looking at the resolution tracker, I only achieved the fourth and the eight. 2 out of 8. That's miserable but ain't feeling down. Though I did not get to achieve it, it doesn't mean I don't learn from it. I shall work harder this year. =P

Out of nowhere.

Damn, hahaha constipation isn't a fun thing. Is like have to worry every time when I step out of the door and have to look for clean and comfortable toilet anytime soon. Making me nervous and panic if I can't find one especially when I am driving. Wild imagination starts flushing in, cold sweat under armpits, feeling too cold suddenly and high stress at the rectum squeezing everything back in. Just like World War II going on down there - advance and fallback. Wtf!!

Putting that asides, it seems like crazy ideas struck again out of nowhere. I wonder if it can works. What would be the limitation? Ha ha anyway hereby I name it Crazy Idea 02.
